Happy Friday, my friends! I'm enjoying my summer break, although it's one of those weird feelings where you're still used to doing school work and then you have nothing to do. Except I'm preparing for an art trading game called Art Fight, so I kind of have "assignments". I'm also working, so I have plenty to do.
Alright, this week's prompts are story starters! Feel free to post your writing in the comments, I'd love to read it.
✯ On your day off, you get a strange knock at your door. Leaving your draft behind, you open the door and see it's the main character of your novel, and they've got something to say.
✯ She (he/they) took his (her/their) hand and smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry about the spiders. They don't eat people."
✯ Your phone suddenly shuts off, even though it had plenty of charge. Your friends says her phone won't turn on, and the people around you seem to have the same issue. You hear your mother (father/caregiver)'s voice say "You're on your phone too much! Go outside and play." Everyone else seems to hear it, too.
✯ They (she/he) grabs my shoulders firmly. "I need you to help me kill some demons."
"What?" I ask?
"You heard me! I need help killing demons!"
✯ The stars twinkle above you and your lover, who you've been with for three years. They look to you and ask you not to get scared as they reveal that they're an alien from another planet.
✯ "I hope you realize that the IRS isn't just here for our money."
