New Year, New Cars; Log Cabin Cruize Night May 29th, 2024

As spring gives way to summer, the sound of engines roar past my house to the Log Cabin Cruize Night. Last week, the yearly event started up again, and I went to take pictures. I'm not able to include every car I want for the sake of time, but I'll touch on most of them. I've gotten much better with my Canon since then, and you can find my car photography on Bluesky and Tumblr. You came for cars though, so let's get to the cars!

A blue, late 2010s Honda Civic Type R badge and right tail light.

Let's start with the Hondas! I love the 10th generation Civics and their pointy boomerang like tail lights. I tested the editing power of my art program with this picture and did some editing on the red of the light, for fun of course.

A late 2010s white Honda Accord driver's side.

The 10th generation Accord to match the Civic. I was aiming for more artsy shots today, but I'm not sure I like this one.

The last of today's Honda gang is a CRX. I'd own a CRX in a heartbeat, these awesome 80s-90s cars are awesome.

Shoutout to the Honda Prelude I saw but couldn't get great pictures of. The Prelude is honestly on the top of my all time favorite car list.

A mid 1980s Chevrolet Camaro.

Let's look at the General Motors cars next. A Camaro from the mid 80s. I always loved the tail lights on these guys.

A 2000s Buick Regal with an eagle decal on the hood.

A 2000s Buick Regal with this really interesting eagle decal on the hood. I love the two toned look the black hood gives this car. I wish I'd been able to angle this shot a bit better, but I do like it quite a bit.

A red Pontiac focused on the tail light and a badge reading "Hurst Equipped."

Forgive me, I can't remember what Pontiac this is from the picture of the tail light. I do really like this picture though, and the car was pretty.

I adore this El Camino, mostly because I really love the El Camino. However, when I went to check the model year of this car, I found no El Camino, or Ford Ranchero, that really looked like this. Wonder if it was a custom or something? Looks cool either way!

Who would I be if I didn't snag a picture of a Trans Am?

This Buick Regal is certainly a unique car. The back wheels are huge, and it seems to have hydraulics in it to lift it up even more. Looks like a lot of fun!

I'm giving this 1990s Buick hearse it's own section because I love hearses. I find them intriguing cars and they're on the top of my car wishlist. Who needs a truck when you can get a hearse?

That aside, I really love all of the details like the decorative lamps, the Halloween blood window clings, and the prop coffin. The back window had bloody hand print window clings as well. The creativity people have with their cars is awesome.

I actually missed the owner of this Corolla this time around, but you can see pictures from my last Log Cabin Cruize night post here. The most notable change is the mini spoiler removal and the expansion of the "If you think this is slow" sticker. Still looking great though!

As we start the miscellaneous section, I need to have the obligatory "I saw a Cybertruck" pictures. I wasn't in a rush to see this asset from a PS1 game, and the shiny body made getting a good picture basically impossible with my equipment. That's about all of my feelings for this truck.

The back of a red Lotus sports car with yellow racing stripes.

I'm pretty sure this Lotus has been at the Log Cabin before, but I don't think it's made it to any of my posts. This is one of the few edited shots, and I'm proud of how clear I got it to look.

The back wheel of a white Toyota.

Thought the rims on this Toyota were cool, but I didn't get much else information about the car.

A BMW 325is with a plate reading "Harmless," a band-aid decal reading "OOPS!" and a missing rear bumper.

Harmless, huh? I wonder what happened to this poor BMW.

A black Ford Explorer truck front grill and hood ornament.

I never knew the Ford Explorer was a truck from the 70s! I only ever knew of the SUV!

A pink Plymouth Barracuda with the hood open.

Hey there Pink 'Cuda from my last Log Cabin post, good to see you again!

The emblem for a 1920s-1930s Ford.

An old black Ford from the 1920s or 1930s.

And for one last car, here's an old Ford that looks awesome. Couldn't tell you what model it is, but it's a real classic hot rod.

That's all for today, and I hope to return to the Log Cabin Cruize Night sometime in the future. Have a great week!
