Log Cabin Cruize Night August 7th, 2024

Hello and welcome to a short but still exciting review of some highlights of the Log Cabin Cruize Night on August 7th, 2024. I had a great time walking around with my father and saw some really interesting cars. I've chosen a few of my favorite pictures to share with you!

A maroon 1950s Pontiac Safari Wagon with an orange light up hood ornament of an airplane with a man's face on the front.

We'll start with this awesome Pontiac Safari wagon! I really love the hood ornament on this one, and just how much time and energy the owner put into upkeep. He said it'd been all over the country, which is awesome. It was in amazing condition and the owner was wonderful to talk to. The hood ornament even lights up!

The front hood of a black, 2001 Honda Prelude.

Here's a cute Honda Prelude! I found the way I centered this shot on the badges very interesting.

A hood ornament on a white Buick. In a black square is three shields, colored from left to right: red, white, and blue. Below it text reads "Turbo 3.8 Litre."

I took a lot of pictures of emblems that day, mostly because I find those the most interesting and easy to take when there's so many people around. This Buick was super cool.

A red Suzuki parked on green grass.

I had to edit this picture like crazy, but I still wanted to show off this cute Suzuki! I'm not sure why I'm drawn to Suzuki's cars, I've never been a big fan of off road vehicles and SUVs, but these guys are just so cute.

The emblem and tail light of a white 1970s Chevrolet Nova.

I've seen this Nova at the cabin before, but I finally got a good emblem shot. They can be hard to get on white cars with the sun. This one's still more blown out than I'd like, but it's cool with the shadow.

The side door emblem of a red Honda S2000 reading "S2000."

Last badge, I promise! After all, I can't pass up a Honda S2000! I love these little cars, and this one was in awesome condition.

A black Dodge Viper with the hood up. The sun shines on the open hood, creating a lens flare in the image.

Woah, natural lens flare? I love discovering these as I go through pictures because they're so unexpected. I love this picture, and the Viper looked super clean too.

A dark teal 1990s Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser station wagon.

And last but certainly not least, Jr is here! That's the nickname my family has given our Cutlass wagon. If you haven't read about it before, you can see it and many more cars in my post from Tannersville's Cruise on the Mountain Top. It was so fun to see people enjoying the car and how many memories it brings back. The design hadn't really changed since it debuted in 1988 (Or 1987? Something like that), so many people think the car is older than 1994. It's wonderful to see people so fond of this little wagon.

That's all for this week, folks! I'll be heading down to Watkins Glen International for their vintage weekend with a zoom lens. Hopefully I can snag some good pictures, so look out for that post sometime in September!

Have a great week,

-Rosetta 💖
