Wow, I've had a crazy busy year. I was posting regularly until September, and I apologize for that. My six class semester really took over my life. However, I've passed with all As and have a friend group for the first time in ages.
This means my goals as a writer have also changed since last year's update. The novel I worked on over NaNoWriMo last November The Digital Heart has been put on the shelf for now. After reworking my Gemlord project, I've made a lot more progress into the first draft of the first novel. I'm much more motivated to work on it and believe it has much more to offer readers than before. Although it's probably obvious at this point, I won't be posting as my characters in the near future. I feel that this content will work better when my writing is more well known than it is now, and the characters have followings.
However, I've still wanted to give attention to my short fiction as well. Soon I'll be submitting short pieces to magazines again with the goal of being published. It became clear to me that I wrote much better short fiction that doesn't involve my Gemlord project, my contest submission "All By Design" being an exception. (You can click on the title to read it). So my plan is to update my website accordingly, and give my focus to my general writing achievements. I'll be removing the Gemlord page and sprucing up the other pages on the site. I have outdated links and will most likely be giving the entire site a refresh. Where that will take me, I don't know. My hope is that it will look more professional without losing my personality.
Thank you to everyone for your patience with my busy life. I will be posting weekly again starting in 2025, hopefully with new short stories and more car content. Want to read something now? Check the related posts on the bottom of the page.
I hope you have a wonderful New Year!
