Hello readers!
This is a very short post to let you know that a new post will not be put up this week due to the fact that I'm experiencing an awful bout of burnout. I always strive for quality over quantity. I always worry about future publishers reading my blog and seeing these shorter burnout posts, but in my mind it's better to manage my mental and creative health than push out some garbage quality post.
I will leave you all with a quick story. I visited the car scarp yard with my father yesterday and decided to go rummaging through the cars for small trinkets and other shiny "raven treasures," if you will. These are items that don't make the yard money, so I didn't have to pay for them. We bought plenty of other good stuff, of course.
It's honestly a lot of fun to see what stories might have been happening in these cars. Who owned them, what was their life like, and how did they get here? I'm always thinking like a writer, and someday I want to write the stories of these cars. I think my favorite find was this Home Depot kids builder pin with a little car and camper on it. The pin and backing had been pushed into each other and flattened. So much so that when I cleaned the pin, the metal backing and pin separated from the image part of the pin. I seriously wonder what happened to that pin to make it like that. Ah, the stories the scrap yard could tell!
I hope you have a restful week and I'll see you next time!
